The leadership of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce’s Economic and Trade Representative Offices in Singapore and Malaysia visited the Business Association for a research and survey

On December 18, 2024, Shen Liguo and Du Ling, representatives from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce’s Economic and Trade Representative Offices in Singapore and Malaysia, visited the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association for a research visit. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the Economic and Trade Representative Office and the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association. The President of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, Sun Jianwei, personally received the delegation and provided a detailed introduction on the Business Association’s work and the development of its member enterprises.

On December 18, 2024, the leadership from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce’s Economic and Trade Representative Offices in Singapore and Malaysia, Shen Liguo and Du Ling, visited the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association for a research visit.

During the meeting, President Sun Jianwei provided a report on the Business Association’s work over the past year. He emphasized that since its establishment, the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association has strictly adhered to the laws and regulations of Malaysia and has operated in accordance with the relevant requirements of Jiangsu Province. The Business Association has actively worked to promote the “Belt and Road” initiative, telling the story of Jiangsu in Malaysia and showcasing Jiangsu’s strengths.

He pointed out that this year, the Business Association has hosted over 40 delegations from Jiangsu Province, including local governments, businesses, educational institutions, and trade associations. Additionally, the Business Association, as a representative of overseas Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, had spoken at the Global Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association Working Conference and was recognized by the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, receiving the 2024 Global Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association Highlighted Work Award. These achievements demonstrate the Business Association’s significant role in promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two regions.

In terms of membership development, the Business Association successfully welcomed several manufacturing enterprises this year and actively assisted new members in overcoming difficulties related to setting up operations in Malaysia. This has effectively enhanced service quality and provided strong support for Jiangsu enterprises to “go global.”

Looking ahead, President Sun stated that the Business Association would further strengthen its internal management system to ensure the operation of the Business Association is standardized and efficient. At the same time, the Business Association will actively attract more high-quality Jiangsu enterprises to join, helping Jiangsu businesses achieve high-quality development in Malaysia and injecting new energy into the economic and trade cooperation between the two regions.

Shen Liguo from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce highly praised the work of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association. He acknowledged the Business Association’s significant contributions in strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Jiangsu and Malaysia and supporting Jiangsu enterprises. During the meeting, both sides discussed future work directions and activity plans and invited President Sun to lead a delegation to Jiangsu Province for a visit and inspection to further promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation.

The Business Association’s Assistant President, Tan Say Cheong, fully participated in the reception and accompanied the discussions. This research visit has further solidified the foundation for economic and trade cooperation between Jiangsu Province and Malaysia, and also demonstrated the role of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association as a bridge in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two regions.
