On January 11, 2025, the 2nd First Annual General Meeting of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association was grandly held in Kuala Lumpur. The theme of the meeting was “Cooperation and Development, ‘Su’ Writing a New Chapter,” bringing together 32 representatives from member enterprises and legal advisors. The meeting focused on nine key topics, aiming to explore new directions for the development of the Chamber and promote deeper exchanges and cooperation between Malaysia and Jiangsu Province in various fields such as trade, culture, and more. The meeting was hosted by Executive Vice President, Lyu Yongxiang.

Following the opening remarks by the host, Executive Vice President Lyu Yongxiang (first from the left), Secretary-General Ye Langheng delivered a detailed report on the Business Association’s progress over the past year. The report covered areas such as organizational development, membership expansion and services, event activities, external relations, and the achievements of various delegation visits. It was noted that under the leadership of President Sun Jianwei, the Secretariat has steadily achieved continued optimization in organizational construction and member services. The Business Association has strengthened its internal management while enhancing external cooperation and influence, driving the optimization of the Business Association’s regulations, and increasing information dissemination and member interaction through the maintenance of the official WeChat account and website.
The Secretary-General highlighted that the Business Association has further deepened its member development, with new members from various industries, injecting new vitality into the Business Association’s diversification. The Business Association has also participated in over 100 activities through hosting, co-hosting, and collaboration, actively promoting China-Malaysia economic and cultural exchanges. Furthermore, seven strategic cooperation agreements were successfully signed, laying a solid foundation for the Business Association’s long-term development. Looking ahead to 2025, the Business Association will continue to focus on improving service levels and expanding external cooperation to drive the Business Association towards new developmental heights.
In accordance with the established agenda, the meeting reviewed and approved the Secretariat’s 2024 work report, financial and audit reports, the draft revision of the Business Association’s constitution, new members for the Standing Committee, the 2025 budget draft, and voted to approve the proposal for establishing a Business Association Disciplinary Committee.
Additionally, the meeting included member speeches and the reading of the Business Association’s recognition decisions by Executive Vice President Xia Sxiang.

At the end of the conference, President Sun Jianwei delivered a concluding speech. He sincerely thanked all members for their hard work over the past year. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, the chamber actively participated in and organized several significant events, greatly enhancing its influence, strengthening connections with various sectors, and demonstrating its active contribution to promoting Malaysia-China friendly relations, as well as its strong sense of social responsibility and cohesion.
President Sun emphasized that in the future, the Business Association will continue to strengthen its services for member enterprises, innovate service models, and assist member companies in advancing steadily in both domestic and international markets. The Business Association also plans to establish branches in Penang and Johor states and set up a representative office in Nanjing to expand its service network, deepen communication and collaboration with the domestic market, and promote efficient information flow and win-win cooperation.
In terms of event planning, the Business Association will organize more diverse activities to enhance friendships and cooperation among members, moving forward together and growing collectively. In the internationalization process, the Business Association firmly supports the overseas development of the “Belt and Road” initiative and will fully assist outstanding Jiangsu enterprises in expanding into international markets.
Additionally, the Business Association has proposed to the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce to co-host the ASEAN Jiangsu Business Conference, aiming to further deepen economic and cultural exchanges with Southeast Asian countries and enhance the global influence of Jiangsu enterprises.
Finally, President Sun called on all members to uphold the spirit of unity and progress, working hand in hand to relentlessly strive for a bright future for the Business Association and build a solid foundation for its continued development.
