The 16th World Chinese Business Conference, themed “Gathering the Wisdom of Chinese Business Leaders and Charting a New Chapter for the Chinese Community,” was grandly held in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 24 to 26, 2023. The conference was hosted by the Thailand Chinese Chamber of Commerce and received significant attention from both the Chinese and Thailand governments. The opening ceremony was attended by notable leaders and guests, including: Surawej Kongsomboon, Chairman of the Thai Privy Council,Jurin Laksanawisit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand, Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chen Xu, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China.
At the same time, Xiong Jie, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and Vice President of the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce, was invited to lead a delegation of 21 members, including members of the International Cooperation Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and representatives of export-oriented private enterprises from the province, to attend the conference. Sun Jianwei, Executive President of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, was also invited to attend and participate in the event.
During the conference, the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce) and the Thailand Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association jointly held the “China-Thailand Business and Trade Exchange Meeting.” The event was attended by representatives from Thailand Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, members of the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce’s International Cooperation Committee, and over 40 export-oriented private enterprise representatives from Jiangsu Province.
