On Monday, February 3, 2025, a delegation from the Hai’an Municipal Government of Jiangsu Province, led by Vice Mayor Xia Weijun, visited the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association for in-depth discussions on strengthening investment cooperation between the two regions. The delegation included Ren Zhen, Director of the Hai’an Bureau of Science and Technology; Yuan Jiagen, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the National Hai’an Economic and Technological Development Zone; Zhang Feng, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Jiangsu Hai’an High-Tech Industrial Development Zone; and Wang Xu, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Laobagang Coastal New Area and Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiaoxie Town, Hai’an.

During the meeting, Sun Jianwei, President of the Association, provided a comprehensive introduction to the background and development of the Association, emphasizing its role as a platform for economic and trade cooperation between Jiangsu Province and Malaysia. He highlighted the Association’s achievements in fostering bilateral collaboration. Vice Mayor Xia Weijun expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception and extended an invitation for Association representatives to visit Jiangsu. He emphasized the importance of solidifying the foundation for cooperation and striving for new breakthroughs in economic and trade partnerships, ultimately fostering high-quality development for both regions.
The discussions focused on industrial collaboration and resource sharing, leading to multiple areas of consensus. Following the meeting, both parties exchanged souvenirs and took a commemorative group photo. This successful exchange event has outlined a clear roadmap for future cooperation between Hai’an and Malaysia. The meeting was also attended by Fu Qiang, Vice President of the Association.
