Dato’ Derrick Hooi said that festivals are a wonderful time for families to come together and celebrate, but some people, due to family circumstances, do not have the opportunity to experience this familial joy. Despite this, there is warmth everywhere in the world. As responsible entrepreneurs, he and Sun Jianwei regularly pay attention to the needs of others and provide help within their capacity.

They also expressed special thanks to YB Lee Chean Chung, Member of Parliament for Petaling District, for taking valuable time to accompany them and extend care and comfort to the orphans.

Additionally, Sun Jianwei mentioned that although he is not a Malaysian by birth, he has been doing business in Malaysia for many years. Guided by a spirit of cross-border and cross-ethnic care, he fulfills his social responsibilities. Together with Dato’ Derrick Hooi, he is dedicated to public welfare. Through this visit to the orphanage, they aim to bring care and warmth to the orphans and hope that their actions will serve as a catalyst to inspire more companies to actively participate in public welfare, showing concern and care for vulnerable groups and contributing to a better and fairer society.

The person in charge of the orphanage expressed heartfelt gratitude for Sun Jianwei and Dato’ Derrick Hooi’s generous support. She noted that this support and assistance will have a positive and profound impact on the children’s growth and future, helping to address gaps in their emotional well-being. What is particularly commendable is that Mr. Sun, as a Chinese entrepreneur doing business in Malaysia, has demonstrated that acts of kindness transcend nationality and ethnicity, which has earned him deep respect and admiration for his noble character.
