On the morning of May 20, the Third Jiangsu Development Conference, themed “Heart longed for Jiangsu, Building Dreams Together,” opened in Nanjing. At the opening ceremony, Xie Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee, delivered a keynote speech. He emphasized that Jiangsu is currently advancing energetically on a new journey of modernization. Every person in Jiangsu is an indispensable figure, and each person’s efforts are an inspiring note in the melody of the times. He called for high-quality development to create a better future and to diligently write a new chapter in the modernization of a “Strong, Rich, Beautiful, and High” Jiangsu.

Over 1,300 distinguished guests from both domestic and international locations gathered together to discuss friendships, explore development, and talk about the future. Xie Changxing, representing the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the 85 million people of Jiangsu, extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests. He conveyed sincere greetings from their hometown to all Jiangsu people at home and abroad. He noted that Jiangsu carries everyone’s enduring affection for their roots and serves as the logical starting point for their gathering.
Mr. Sun Jianwei, Executive President of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, was invited to attend.
Sun Jianwei expressed that those with shared aspirations are not deterred by mountains or seas. Openness is a distinctive feature of Jiangsu’s development. He hopes that in the future, exchanges between Jiangsu and Malaysia will become increasingly close, yielding more fruitful cooperation along the Belt and Road, and that they will continue to create new achievements together.
