They also reported on the various activities organized by the Association since its establishment, including visits to local government offices, hosting and exchanging with government delegations from various regions in China, and charitable activities that give back to the community. Director Zheng expressed appreciation and recognition for the Association’s dedicated development and contributions in Malaysia.

Afterward, Director Zheng introduced the purpose and objectives of the visit. In 2022, Jiangsu Province’s GDP reached 12 trillion yuan (approximately 7.7 trillion Malaysian ringgit), making it the second-largest GDP province in China and the top province in terms of per capita GDP. Jiangsu and Malaysia have long enjoyed friendly development and close cooperation in both official and private business sectors. The primary purpose of this visit is to prepare for and arrange the “2023 Jiangsu International Cultural Trade Exhibition (Malaysia),” which will be held from November 17 to 19 at the KLCC Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Director Zheng also introduced that the planned exhibition will feature five key areas: the “Cultural Trade Comprehensive Exhibition Area,” “Key Cultural Trade Platform Display Area,” “Digital Culture Display Area,” “Specialty Cultural Products Display Area,” and “Industry Integration Display Area.” The exhibition will involve around 200 key enterprises from Jiangsu coming to Malaysia for displays and business trade exchanges. This exhibition is Jiangsu Province’s first self-organized service trade fair held abroad, aiming to promote cultural exchange and build trade cooperation bridges, with the hope of contributing more to bilateral trade relations between China and Malaysia.

After the meeting, the welcome dinner also invited representatives from the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Cultural Centre, the Malaysia-China Business Council, the Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Malaysian Chinese Association to continue the exchange.
