The Jiangsu Provincial Catering Industry Association Delegation Visits the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association

On the afternoon of August 9, a delegation led by Yu Xuerong, President of the Jiangsu Provincial Catering Industry Association, and Chen Yu, Deputy Secretary-General, visited the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association. They were warmly received by President Sun Jianwei, who hosted an exchange meeting.

With the theme “Bringing Jiangsu Cuisine to the World, Creating a New Era of Culinary Excellence, the meeting aimed to promote cultural exchange and cooperation in the catering industry between China and Malaysia.

During the discussion, President Sun Jianwei shared insights on the overseas development of Jiangsu’s catering industry, drawing from his own experience living abroad. He emphasized that for Jiangsu catering enterprises to successfully expand internationally, they must leverage their traditional strengths while also adapting to local market dynamics. Establishing a strong regional identity and understanding local consumer preferences are key to achieving mutual benefits and sustainable growth.

After recent visits, President Yu Xuerong expressed high regard for Malaysia’s catering market. He stressed that Jiangsu’s catering industry must seize opportunities to expand globally by developing a well-structured supply chain, improving product quality and service standards, and enhancing international competitiveness. Additionally, he proposed investment and cooperation initiatives, hoping to strengthen collaboration between both sides and promote the prosperity of the catering industries in Jiangsu and Malaysia.

This meeting not only strengthened the enthusiasm and confidence of both parties in promoting cooperation in the catering industry but also served as a cultural bridge to enhance China-Malaysia friendship. Both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening communication, deepening cooperation, promoting the international presence of Jiangsu cuisine, and exploring innovative collaboration in the catering industry.

Representative from the Jiangsu Provincial Catering Industry Association who attend the meeting were Zhou Yun and Zhou Rongtian from Su Shang Catering, Zhang Yuqu, Director of Mei He Cheng Catering, Pan Jiquan, General Manager of Yi Kou Ban Shan Tea, Wang Qiang, Chairman of Yuan Qi Catering, Liu Bin, President of the Zhenjiang Guogai Noodles Industry Association and Chairman of Liu Fu Morning Tea, Liu Gang, General Manager of Liu Fu Morning Tea, along with representatives from Zhenjiang Zhang Saosi Operations Management Co., Ltd., Fudimen Grand Hotel Co., Ltd., Huotou Shao Crab Roe Soup Dumplings, and Zhenjiang Wanyuan Sauce & Vinegar Co., Ltd.

Representative from the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association were Executive Vice President Sun Keqiang, Event Director Teow Jenn Yang, and member company representatives Zhao Weijun and Cheng Linjing.
