Senior Colonel Zhang Ge, Defense Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, pointed out that the military relationship between China and Malaysia is an important component of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. China is willing to deepen defense and military exchanges and cooperation with Malaysia to continuously enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
He said that in May this year, the Chinese military sent the August 1st Aerobatics Team and the naval ship Zhanjiang to participate in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, fully demonstrating the friendly relations between the Chinese and Malaysian armed forces.
“This October, the two sides will jointly hold the ‘Peace and Friendship’ joint exercise. China and Malaysia are close neighbors separated by only a strip of water, and the traditional friendship between the two countries has a long history.”
In conjunction with the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army on August 1st, the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia held a reception tonight at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
In his speech at the celebration, Zhang Ge said that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army is the people’s army created by the Communist Party of China. Over the 96 years since its founding, it has provided strong support for safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and has made significant contributions to maintaining world peace and stability.
