On Friday, May 24, 2024, Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association welcomed a delegation from the Dafeng District Government of Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. The visit was led by Xia Wenjin, Deputy District Mayor of Dafeng District Government. The delegation members included Huang Bin, Party Secretary of Yancheng Dafeng High-tech Zone, Gu Yihu, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Yancheng Dafeng District Committee, Shen Qian, Deputy Director of the Commerce Bureau of Yancheng Dafeng District, and Yuan Xiaocong, Deputy Director of Fenghua Sub-district Office of Yancheng Dafeng District.
Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening commercial exchanges between the two regions. In the presence of Sun Jianwei, President of the association, Deputy District Mayor Xia Wenjin, Party Secretary Huang Bin, and ACCCIM Secretary General Dato’ Tan Tian Meng, the strategic cooperation agreement was signed by Ye Langheng, Secretary-General of the association, and Yuan Xiaocong, representative of Dafeng District, Yancheng City. This agreement laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Following this, representatives of the association were invited to attend the Jiangsu Dafeng Economic and Trade Exchange (Malaysia) Dinner hosted by the Dafeng District Government delegation of Yancheng City. The hosts also invited notable guests including YB Sim Chon Siang, Pahang State Executive Council Member for Consumer Affairs and Human Resources and State Assemblyman for Teruntum; Dato’ Sri Chuah Poh Khiang, First Vice President of the Association of Belt & Road Malaysia; Li Jie, CEO of Malaysia Heradoxiband (Shanghai) Enterprise Consulting Company, Cai Jie, CFO of Harvest Tropica Malaysia; and Zheng Jinming, Acting President of the Malaysia China Halal Entrepreneurs Association.

Deputy District Mayor Xia Wenjin shared with the guests the geographical advantages and development prospects of Dafeng District in Yancheng. He expressed the intention to strengthen exchanges with Malaysian enterprises, embark on a new journey, expand openness, and enhance industrial collaboration. He extended a sincere invitation to Malaysian enterprises to invest in the vibrant region of Dafeng District, Yancheng. Additionally, he encouraged enterprises from Yancheng to develop in Malaysia, pledging to provide superior services with a more open attitude and a first-class environment.

President Sun Jianwei expressed his sincere gratitude for the gracious invitation to the exchange meeting. He emphasized that the association has always played a vital role as a bridge, supporting enterprises in their efforts to expand internationally, and providing guidance in investment, trade, and government relations. He highlighted the establishment of a cooperative relationship with the delegation and pledged to introduce one or two high-quality projects to Dafeng District, Yancheng City, as a way to give back to his hometown.
The successful conduct of this exchange meeting has injected new vitality into the future economic and trade development between the two regions. Through close communication and connections, it is hoped that future cooperation will become even more integrated and profound, leading to the creation of a promising and prosperous future together.
