Chairman Liu Cong of Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce Hosts President Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan of Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Executive President Sun Jianwei of Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association

On November 9, Sun Jianwei, Executive President of Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, accompanied Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chua, President of the Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and his delegation on a visit to the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce. Chairman Liu Cong of the Jiangsu Federation warmly hosted the delegation and exchanged commemorative gifts with Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chua.

Liu Cong, on behalf of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Provincial General Chamber of Commerce, warmly welcomed the delegation and provided a brief overview of Jiangsu’s overall economic situation, the development of the private sector, and the main functions and key work of the Provincial Federation. He highly praised the Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce for its positive contributions to Malaysia’s national economy, business, and social development.

Liu Cong noted that the eight actions announced by President Xi Jinping at the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation have injected positive energy into world peace and development and provided new directions for achieving shared prosperity. He expressed the Provincial Federation’s willingness to collaborate with the Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce to support both parties’ members and relevant enterprises in participating in these eight actions. This collaboration aims to help the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and yield more fruitful results; jointly create better environments and more platforms for enterprises from both regions to seize development opportunities; and continue to develop historical friendly relations, enhance provincial exchanges, and contribute actively to writing a new chapter in China-Malaysia friendship.

Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan thanked the Provincial Federation for its warm reception and expressed admiration for Jiangsu’s economic achievements. He briefly introduced the history, basic functions, and distinctive services of the Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, including its work with member enterprises and government policy-making. He hoped to use the 50th anniversary of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations next year as an opportunity to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Jiangsu Provincial Federation, better serve the economic and social development of both countries, and warmly invited the Provincial Federation to participate in the 17th World Chinese Business Conference to be held in Malaysia next year.

President Sun Jianwei stated that Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association is willing to serve as a bridge and link between the two regions, promoting investment and business opportunities for Jiangsu enterprises in Malaysia. It also aims to support Malaysian enterprises in expanding opportunities in Jiangsu, achieving mutual development and win-win cooperation in both outbound and inbound services. The association will contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative and the consensus of promoting Malaysia’s prosperity under the guidance of the leaders of both countries.

During the meeting, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as enterprise development, investment opportunities, cultural heritage, and chamber of commerce construction. A memorandum of understanding was signed by Dato’ Tan Tian Meng , the Secretary-General of ACCCIM, and Xiong Jie, a member of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce’s Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman.

After the discussions, the delegation visited and inspected Zhenchuan Cultural and Artistic Co., Ltd. and the Niushoushan Cultural Tourism Zone.
