Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association successfully held a productive exchange meeting with China Design Group on March 15, 2024 (Friday). The meeting was led by Chairman Yang Weidong of China Design Group, and included a delegation consisting of Chairman Li Jun of Jiangsu General Road and Bridge Engineering Company, Chairman Guo Zhaomin of Jiangsu Tianluo Road Materials Company, Financial Manager Ye Jingchao of China Design Group, Deputy General Manager Wang Weicheng of the Traffic Division at China Design Group, and Chief Engineer Yuan Bin of Jiangsu General Road and Bridge Engineering Company.

China Design Group (referred to as “CDG” , SSE:603018), founded in 1960 and formerly known as Jiangsu Transportation Planning and Design Institute, now has become a leading provider of whole-process engineering consulting technologies and services in China. In 2014, CDG became the first engineering design company to be independently listed on the A-share market. CDG has been focusing on two major infrastructure fields: transportation and urban/rural development. By fully exploiting our position as an all-round player with the best qualifications and always insisting on multi-discipline and cross-industry integration and development, CDG have grown to a national-scale company from our location in Jiangsu. Further, CDG have expanded from planning and design to full-life-cycle services scaled from infrastructure into emerging areas, such as intelligence, environmental protection, new energy, assembled construction and commercial consumption; and have become a low-key champion or a known technology brand in segments, such as transportation, All-classification expressways, long-span bridges, underwater/undersea tunnels, waterways and ports, urban expressways, urban rail transit, water conservancy and administration. Currently, CDG are the only engineering consulting and design group in China that can provide comprehensive design services for the entire transportation industry (covering highways, railroads, waterways, and air transport).
President Sun Jianwei stated that the Association has always been dedicated to promoting economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Malaysia and Jiangsu Province, China. He warmly welcomed the meeting and expressed his hope that both parties could further deepen their cooperation and jointly create a bright future.
Chairman Yang Weidong of CDG stated that the visit was aimed at preparing for their “going global” strategy, with the mission of “making the world more accessible and cities more livable.” He emphasized CDG’s commitment to becoming a top technology service provider in transportation development and urban construction, and to creating an innovative enterprise platform centered around planning and design. Additionally, Chairman Yang expressed sincere gratitude for the Association’s warm and thoughtful arrangements.
During the exchange meeting, the delegations from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on commercial cooperation, legal regulations, tax policies, and financing. They thoroughly explored the potential and opportunities for collaboration and development, identifying additional possibilities and directions for future cooperation.
Before the end of the exchange meeting, both parties exchanged souvenirs and took a commemorative photo in the VIP room of the association.

The participant who represent the Association at the exchange meeting were General Deputy President Sun Keqiang, Legal Advisor Dato’ Dr. Teh Tai Yong, Tax Advisor Alex Liew, Deputy Secretary General Dai Zhihua, Zhao Yanhui from MCC 22 Malaysia S/B, and Kang Junzhe from CCIE Engineering (M) S/B.
