On Friday, July 5, 2024, Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association received a delegation from the Jiangsu Provincial Government. The visiting delegation included Jiangsu Provincial Government Counselor Huang Lan, Director of the Comprehensive Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Government Research Office Liu Xize, Representative of the Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Trade Representative Office in Malaysia Shen Liguo, Deputy Director of the Foreign Economic Relations Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce Lu Ting, Fourth-Level Investigator of the Information Infrastructure Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology He Ruyi, Third-Level Investigator of the Foreign Investment Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce Gong Wei, and Deputy Director of the Provincial Labor Employment Management Center of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security Wu Hao.
Counselor Huang Lan and his delegation, accompanied by Sun Jianwei, President of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, visited the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry of Malaysia. They were warmly received by the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry, YBhg. Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil. Both parties engaged in a cordial discussion, exchanging views on bilateral economic and trade cooperation and development between China and Malaysia, and took a group photo to commemorate the meeting. After the exchange, the delegation from the Jiangsu Provincial Government proceeded to conduct an inspection and research visit at TLGF (M) Sdn. Bhd.

At 4pm, the Jiangsu Provincial Government delegation arrived at the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association and successfully held a discussion meeting with several enterprises. The purpose of this meeting was to explore the research work of Jiangsu’s overseas and manufacturing enterprises.
President Sun Jianwei, as the President of the Association and Chairman of The South Sea Capital S/B, expressed his gratitude to the Jiangsu Provincial Government leaders for their concern and attention to understanding the sentiments of overseas enterprises by visiting the frontline. In his introduction to the Association, he mentioned that the Association is committed to promoting economic and trade cooperation between Jiangsu and Malaysia. It actively supports Jiangsu enterprises in their efforts to “go global” while also leading Malaysian enterprises to Jiangsu to seek cooperation and development opportunities. He emphasized that the Association’s mission is to serve Jiangsu enterprises, solve practical difficulties for them, and act as a bridge and link in facilitating their development and communication with the government in Malaysia.
In his speech, Counselor Huang Lan mentioned that this visit provided insights into Malaysia’s policies and regulations regarding foreign investment and its future development blueprint. He observed the complementary development between Jiangsu and Malaysia. He stated that the experiences and insights of Chinese enterprises in Malaysia would be invaluable for Jiangsu’s development in Malaysia. Counselor Huang emphasized that the provincial government is highly concerned about Jiangsu’s openness and “going global” strategy. In the process of modernizing the system, it is essential to understand how to participate in building a dual circulation development pattern that integrates domestic and international markets, promoting Jiangsu’s development by leveraging both markets and resources. He brought greetings and updates from Jiangsu to the Jiangsu enterprises and entrepreneurs in Malaysia, highlighting Jiangsu’s favorable development momentum, rich historical and cultural heritage, talent resources, and manufacturing foundation. He expressed hope that Jiangsu enterprises and entrepreneurs in Malaysia would pay attention to their hometown and widely disseminate its development achievements. Additionally, he pledged to continue learning from overseas enterprises and strive to share their experiences across more fields and industries, helping Jiangsu’s openness reach further and supporting market entities and enterprises to achieve better development.
