Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association Supports China-Malaysia Bilateral Investment Promotion Event & “Cross-Border Connect” – Su-Ma Connect Launch

On February 19, 2025, the China-Malaysia Bilateral Investment Promotion Event & “Cross-Border Connect” – Su-Ma Connect Launch was successfully held in Suzhou. Guided by the Suzhou General Chamber of Commerce and co-hosted by China Construction Bank Suzhou Branch, China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, the Yangtze River Delta Overseas Investment Promotion Center, the Suzhou Private Enterprises Domestic and Overseas Integrated Financial Service Center, and the Jiangsu Branch of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) Suzhou Office, the event focused on new opportunities in China-Malaysia economic and trade cooperation. It attracted the participation of the Malaysia Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the Malaysia-China Kuantan International Logistics Park, and over 200 business representatives from both countries, discussing new pathways for cross-border investment.

As a key co-organizer of the event, the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association played an active role in organizing and providing comprehensive support for Jiangsu enterprises seeking to expand overseas. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Shen Pingyan, Deputy General Manager of China Construction Bank Suzhou Branch; Zhan Shengfu, Investment Consul of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Shanghai; and Wan Dewei, Investment Officer of MIDA’s Shanghai Office, who collectively explored strategic directions and practical experiences in China-Malaysia bilateral investment. Xiao Xue, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Suzhou Industrial Park, stated: “Suzhou will continue to optimize the cross-border service ecosystem to provide strong support for enterprises’ international expansion.”

Through keynote speeches and panel discussions, the event provided an in-depth analysis of Malaysia’s economic environment, the investment policies of the Malaysia-China Kuantan International Logistics Park, and financial support solutions from Sinosure. Yuan Xingbing, a representative of the Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association member enterprises, emphasized in his sharing: “The Association is committed to building an economic bridge between China and Malaysia, helping enterprises precisely connect with key resources.” Business representatives also engaged in one-on-one consultations with experts in finance, law, and other fields to address challenges such as compliance and financing in cross-border investments.

A highlight of the event was the official launch of “Su-Ma Connect”—a comprehensive financial service solution for Jiangsu enterprises expanding overseas—by China Construction Bank. Jointly developed by CCB Suzhou and CCB Malaysia, this initiative integrates cross-border settlement, investment and financing, and transaction matching services. It aims to solve key challenges faced by Suzhou enterprises in globalization, such as low settlement efficiency and limited financing channels. By leveraging the synergy between domestic and overseas branches, the program provides enterprises with a “one-stop” financial support system, enhancing their global competitiveness and facilitating deeper integration into the international supply chain.

This event not only marked a significant milestone in China-Malaysia economic and trade cooperation but also established an efficient platform for business matchmaking. Moving forward, all parties will continue to leverage “Su-Ma Connect” to deepen cross-border service collaboration, elevate bilateral investment to new heights, and inject fresh momentum into regional high-quality economic development.
