Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association’s 2024 Annual General Meeting and Election Assembly was successfully held

According to the Malaysian Societies Act, Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association’s Annual General Meeting and Election Assembly, held on January 28 at the chamber, was successfully concluded. The event infused the new year with dynamic development momentum.

The assembly reviewed and approved the 2023 business report and financial report. It also passed motions regarding reforms in the secretariat and financial management systems and successfully elected a new team of committees.

Under the nomination of the present President Chen Zhenghua, Sun Jianwei was elected as the new President with unanimous support. President Sun is known for his enthusiasm for public welfare, extensive social connections in Malaysia, and many years of service with the association, including his role as the founding Executive President. The other elected committees include General Deputy Presidents Chen Quanqing, Lü Yongxiang, and Sun Keqiang; Vice Presidents Wang Xingyao, Guo Jianfeng, Gao Weihao, Benjamin Ong, and Fu Qiang; General Secretary Ye Langheng and Treasurer Eugene Choo.

President Sun Jianwei, representing the association, promised to uphold the principles of transparency and dedication, continuously working to benefit member enterprises and act as a bridge between Jiangsu and Malaysia, contributing to the economic and trade development between the two regions. He emphasized that the association’s development coincides with the historic 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, calling on all members to work together to elevate the association’s efforts to a higher level.

Additionally, the assembly unanimously appointed former President Chen Zhenghua as the Honorary President for Life of the association, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the association.

The successful hosting of this Annual General Meeting not only showcased the unity and vitality of Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association but also affirmed the association’s commitment to actively supporting the consensus reached by the governments of both countries. The association aims to promote investment, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural exchange, contributing to the development of the Belt and Road Initiative and Malaysia’s progress.
