On April 22, Sun Jianwei, President of Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, along with representatives from member enterprises, welcomed Principal Yang Zhengmin of Nanjing Higher Vocational Technical School and his delegation. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as Sino-Malaysian vocational education, industry-academia-research collaboration, and international education development.
First, President Sun Jianwei warmly welcomed Principal Yang Zhengmin and his delegation. He pointed out that the construction industry is currently at a critical stage of transformation and development, requiring cutting-edge technology and high-quality talent from higher education institutions to support its informatization and digitization. He expressed the expectation of establishing a cooperative platform with Nanjing Higher Vocational Technical School, integrating the Association’s brand with the advantages of the prestigious school. This collaboration aims to promote in-depth cooperation in teaching and talent cultivation, jointly accelerate the transformation and development of the construction industry and make greater contributions to the local economy and social development.
Next, Principal Yang Zhengmin provided a detailed introduction of Nanjing Higher Vocational Technical School, covering aspects such as discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific research achievements, and school-enterprise cooperation. He stated that the school actively expands the space for school-enterprise cooperation and that reaching a collaboration with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia would not have been possible without the support and assistance of the Association. He looks forward to further strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration, continuously deepening cooperation in scientific research and full industrial chain integration, achieving resource sharing and technological innovation, and yielding fruitful outcomes from the school-enterprise partnership.
Finally, both sides exchanged souvenirs and took commemorative photos together.
The exchange meeting was also attended by Chen Jian, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center at Nanjing Higher Vocational Technical chool; Cao Shengrang, Director and Party Branch Secretary of the Basic Teaching Department; Gu Lin, Director of the Building Materials Laboratory; and Wang Cantian, Director of the Internet of Things Teaching and Research Office. Member who representing the Association were General Deputy President Sun Keqiang, Vice President Guo Jianfeng, Fu Qiang, member enterprise representative Ni Jie, and Assistant to the President Tan Say Cheong.
