On March 3, committees members of Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association were invited to attend the 2024 Chinese New Year Gathering and the Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony for members’ children, hosted by the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (Longxue) Sanjiang Association. The event took place at the association’s premises and began with a lion dance performance to enhance the festive atmosphere.
Minister Counsellor Ma Cuihong from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia was the main guest at this event. In her speech, Ma Cuihong highlighted the exceptional efforts of the Malaysian Chinese community in preserving and promoting traditional Chinese culture, with the event brimming with the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year. She also emphasized that the friendly relations between China and Malaysia are greatly supported by the collective efforts and contributions of various Chinese associations and the Chinese diaspora in Malaysia.
Sun Jianwei, President of Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association, was one of the distinguished guests at the event. He, along with other guests, participated in a simple yet grand ceremony of cutting the golden pig. As an honorary president of the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Sanjiang Association, President Sun was invited to present the academic excellence awards to the members’ children. President Sun Jianwei personally donated RM 10,000, contributing to the 2024 academic excellence awards for the association members’ children.
The invited representatives from Malaysia Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Business Association who attended the event included General Deputy Presidents Chen Quanqing and Sun Keqiang, Vice Presidents Wang Xingyao and Guo Jianfeng. Additionally, Yuan Xingbing, Secretary General of the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce International Cooperation Committee, was also present. After touring the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Sanjiang Association premises, the delegates took a group photo with President Xuan Zhuhong and other guests. The attendees also engaged in friendly exchanges and interactions at the event.
